The programme committee accepts scientific papers on the stated conference themes with a focus on the Central Asian Region. Active participation in the conference is invited via presentation of a paper or poster, or through workshop attendance. Accepted papers will be published after the conference in the proceedings volume of GISCA 2012. Please submit your paper abstract no later than at the date indicated in the Conference Schedule Overview to gisca12@aca-giscience.org. Accepted papers will only be published and retained in the programme after registration of at least one author / presenter. 

Paper submission: Authors are requested to submit a digital version of their English language paper in Word (.doc, .docx) format for publication in the conference proceedings. A4 page size (210×297mm) with bottom and top margins = 25mm; Left and right margins = 20 mm. Font size is 12 points, font type is Times New Roman. The title of the paper should be in bold capital letters and centered on the page. The author’s name and address should be in the second line and centered. An abstract follows, with one line space after and before. The main body text should be single-spaced and fully justified, and words should be without syllable division. The paper can include pictures and tables, but in the print version will not be reproduced in color. The length of the paper shall be 6 or 8 pages (including pictures, tables, references etc). No more than 2 papers are accepted from one author. Please make sure that the paper is of excellent English language quality!
